This is the second version of A TOWN LIKE ALICE made for T.V and starring Bryan Brown and Helen Morse.The film is approx.5 hours 3minutes long and was available on 3 different formats. The most common was the 3 tape box set but issued mostly on the American NTSC system. Also issued was the 2 tape set and a single tape which is on long play.Never released onto DVD this was a very collectable video at one time.
Filmed in Australia the picture quality lacks sharpness and is quite a light film. Still one of the best war/love stories to come out of Australia and must rank amongst the best.
